But while everything else goes smoothly, her own wedding plans start to sink right before her eyes. One way or the other, Sherilyn is determined to make this wedding work—until the latest development threatens to call the whole thing off. Is it possible that Sherilyn is allergic to her fiancé? "What a fun read! This is perfect to take with you to the beach or to sit by a fire, although people will be looking at you strangely as you laugh and nod at all the problems Sherilyn has to face. And the recipes are to die for! Anyone who has been to a wedding will love the humor and romance in this book!" - Camy Tang, author of The Sushi Series and Protection for Hire "You’ll want to say 'I do' to this delightful story filled with fun, romance, memorable characters, and all the charm of the South." - Jenny B. Jones, award-winning author of Save the Date and A Charmed Life Series "This book will make you want to check into The Tanglewood Inn for a nice long stay! Always the Wedding Planner, Never the Bride is filled with friendship and romance and Sandra D. Bricker’s trademark wit and warmth. I want to hang out with these women! Bricker’s novels are like a fun visit with your best friend!" - Judy Christie, author of Hurry Less, Worry Less and fiction titles, including The Glory of Green, Book #3 in The Green Series "I didn’t think Sandra D. Bricker could write another story in this series to outdo Always the Baker, Never the Bride. I was wrong. With her gift for natural, sparkling dialogue and her ability to throw believable, tension-causing conflicts into the path of our heroine, Sherilyn, Bricker has written another winner in Always the Wedding Planner, Never the Bride. While it was wonderful revisiting characters from the first book, new lovebirds Sherilyn and Andy stole my heart and awakened my empathy as soon as I met them. Before you start reading the book, you might need to check your own planner—it’s hard to set it down once you dive in!" - Trish Perry, author of The Tea Shop Series, including Perfect Blend and Tea for Two

Table for one: A critical reading of singlehood, gender and time is the first book to consider the profound relationship between singlehood and time. Drawing on a wide range of cultural resources - including web columns, blogs, advice columns, popular clichés, advertisements and references from television and cinema, the author challenges the conventional meaning-making processes of singlehood and time. Lahad's analysis gives us the opportunity to explore and theorize singlehood through varied temporal concepts such as waiting, wasting, timeout, age, the life course, linearity and commodification of time. This unique analytical approach enables the fresh consideration of some of our dominant perceptions about collective clocks, schedules, time tables and the temporal organization of social life in general.

Download or read book The Rapture written by John Musser and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2018-09-11 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One day while I was attending Brookside Baptist Church in Myrtle Springs, Texas, the pastor announced that starting the following Wednesday night service, he would begin an in-depth study on the rapture. The study would be titled 16 Reasons for a Pretribulation Rapture. That statement really piqued my curiosity. Having had studied the subject for an extended period of time over the years, I was amazed that someone could come up with that many reasons, so I joined the study the following Wednesday. After having received the handouts that evening, I began to take a critical look. I began to point out the errors in much of the reasoning behind the conclusions of that pastor. When the pages became numerous, I decided it was sufficient to be turned into a book. I felt this study should be examined by every believer. Many talk about salvation issues in Christianity. Many say the rapture is not one of them. That attitude alarms me. While ones belief on the rapture will not affect his salvation in itself, it will, without a doubt, become a stumbling block to being prepared to not receive the mark of the beast. Of that mark, the Bible says the one who receives that mark will have his fate sealed with the judgment of eternal damnation. If one is confident in a pretribulation rapture, he will be susceptible to dismissing the actual mark of the beast since he is convinced he will be taken out before that implementation. And for this cause, this book must be read!

Book Christianity and Rabbinic Judaism

Download or read book Christianity and Rabbinic Judaism written by Jonas E. Alexis and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2013 with total page 643 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Our way must be: never knowingly support lies! Having understood where the lies begin-step back from that gangrenous edge! Let us not glue back the flaking scale of the Ideology, not gather back its crumbling bones, nor patch together its decomposing garb, and we will be amazed how swiftly and helplessly the lies will fall away, and that which is destined to be naked will be exposed as such to the world." -Alexander Solzhenitsyn Enlightenment writer Voltaire was amazed that twelve fishermen, some of them unlettered, from an obscure place in the world called Galilee, challenged an empire through self-denial and patience and eventually established Christianity. He seriously thought that twelve philosophers or intellectuals, himself included, would do the opposite and crush Christianity. Voltaire's self-appointed cheerleaders such as Diderot, Helvitius, d'Holbach, D'Alembert, Lametrie, and Baron Cloots, among others, tried to do just that and wrote volumes of work trying to tear down the basis of Christianity and erect an edifice of their own. Diderot in particular declared, "I would sacrifice myself, perhaps, if I could annihilate forever the notion of God." Cloots wrote, "We shall see the heavenly royalty condemned by the revolutionary tribunal of victorious Reason." Lametrie produced Man: A Machine, and an entire French encyclopedia was written between 1751 and 1772 by those philosophers because Christianity, to a large degree, had to go. Voltaire would send letters to his disciples and friends saying, "écrasez l'infâme." Rousseau, of course, was a disciple of Voltaire and declared that Voltaire's work "inspired me." The French Revolution failed. Yet like all significant revolutions before and after that period, the French Revolution indirectly had a theological root which was then a categorical and metaphysical rejection of Logos. That theological substratum has jumped from one era to the next and had and still has historical, political, economic, and spiritual ramifications. This book is about the historical and theological struggle of that conflict, which had its inception at the foot of the cross.
